Ao chegar ao Aeroporto Internacional, Hazrat Shahjalal foi recebido pelo Diretor-Geral da Divisão do Leste Asiático e Pacífico do Ministério das Relações Exteriores, Tawfiq Hasan, e pelo Embaixador da China em Dhaka, Yao Wen.
Weidong veio a Bangladesh pela primeira vez depois de assumir o cargo de vice-ministro.
De acordo com o programa da visita do vice-ministro chinês a Dhaka, ele participará da reunião do FOC entre Bangladesh e China no sábado (27 de maio).
